I took my little moleskine with me to the trail - not a large journal. Lots of mushrooms, patches of dry forest though. Tasty persimmons for snack :)

Hiking and Sketching at Coyote Hills Regional Park

Amazing amount of sky, birds and some very interesting creatures to meet :) We came pretty close to a group of turkey vultures, saw a stray cat hunting in the grass and dozens of egrets sitting together.

This weekend I had a glorious sketching day in Point Lobos State Park. Above are two large color sketches which you can see together with my watercolor and gouache paint sets on the image below.
