Post 500 - Sketching in the shade of Peacock tree
We called this tree Peacock tree because of the shape and brightness of the flowers. But I just did a quick search and found out that it's called mimosa tree or Albizia julibrissin :) I spent a wonderful half-hour drawing in it's shade on June 24th :)

I started a new sketchbook today - much larger then little moleskines I've been using lately and this book has almost real watercolor paper :)
It's different for sure!

San Antonio Park
We had a great time at friend's birthday party at the park. I posted a quick shot of me sketching right form the spot but had a chance to scan this sketchbook only later :)

Park again and evening hand ;)
What do you draw when it's late and you just need to draw something? well, I have a lot of drawings of my hands and feet... Bottom part of this page - a sketch from the park - I realized that all I had with me was my son's magic pencil and I loved it! :)

The Sierra Club Loma Prieta Chapter Newsletter
I had a wonderful opportunity to illustrate two articles In the latest issue of the The Sierra Club Loma Prieta Chapter Newsletter.
Sierra Club is a great grassroots environmental organization. These two articles cover two important local (for SF Bay area) issues:
Future California High Speed Rail and it's impact on Peninsula:
And proposal of the largest shoreline development on the SF Bay in 50 years and how it will affect local wetlands:
Click on images to see them in detail.
Full text of the articles should be available soonish online at:
